I create art because I need it to survive--it is my purpose and I hope to inspire someone to pursue their craft.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Comic art is my favorite. For me, it's something that I've always engaged with ever since I was a kid and it never really left! Photography, set design and painting are also in my Top 5 of how I like to create. I am currently learning about more disciplines in art because I really want to fully embody creativity and all it has to offer.
Where do you find inspiration?Anime, gaming and manga are what shaped me. I grew up admiring manga/comic artists--Yoshihiro Togashi, EK Weaver, Masashi Kishimoto and Tite Kubo being my main sources of inspiration for the type of stories and art that I create. My wife is also a source for me as she is someone in my corner who never stopped believing in me and the art that I am meant to create in this world. I'm not only doing this for me, but also for her.
What would you do with $25,000?Give back to those who have helped me get this far on my journey, pay off some debts and open an art studio where anyone is welcome to come in and create!
