My favorite type of art to create feels luminous, subconscious, and almost subliminal - slightly otherworldly, as if you could step into the image and experience something powerful. I’m drawn to building that kind of atmosphere through photography, and when it comes together, there’s a rush in knowing I’ve created a scene that truly resonates.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday moments - through other artists, the way flowers hang from trees, prairie fields and pastures, street lights and discarded objects. I‘M drawn to the overlooked and ordinary, often finding myself overwhelmed with creative ideas within the quiet mundanity of daily life.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my dream camera and lens to elevate my photography, eliminating the need to borrow equipment for paid work. I’d also pay off existing debt and strengthen my savings. Finally, I would travel to a few destinations I’ve been dreaming of documenting. I would take the time to collaborate with other amazing artists to create something larger. I would use this momentum to fully commit to becoming a full-time artist. What a dream.
