I create to turn struggle into meaning—bridging cultures, moments, and emotion into something that lives beyond me.

My favorite work is large-scale, emotionally driven portraiture where realism meets symbolism. I focus on faces because they carry identity and story, but I go beyond likeness—each piece represents a journey, a moment, or a larger narrative. I’m drawn to figures who embody resilience and impact, and I build layers of meaning into every work. Scale allows the piece to feel immersive, creating a real connection between the viewer and the subject.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in people, culture, and real-life experiences. Growing up between Mexico and the U.S. shaped my perspective and continues to influence my work. I’m inspired by stories of resilience, as well as everyday moments—travel, conversations, music, and even setbacks. I don’t wait for inspiration; I build it by staying present and turning experiences into something meaningful.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest it into creating a new body of large-scale work and documenting the process to reach a wider audience. I’d also use it to fund a public project—like an exhibition or live experience—that connects people directly with the art. Part of it would go toward expanding visibility across the U.S. and Mexico, continuing my mission to bridge cultures through creative work.
