Pamela Hartvig

Art is a spiritual practice for me bringing people to their humanness through connection to all. One with each other and nature.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

Mixed media paintings on Cradled Birch with handmade collage pieces and R and F Pigment stick lines. Paintings on heavy WC paper like the above. My preference is to paint huge but lost my studio so working 22”x30”. I also make original images to print on my Designjet T230.

Where do you find inspiration?

The human form is so compelling to draw I have added it to work for about five years. I painted abstract landscapes for 35 years in oil. I am now ready to go back to doing that but differently. I want to immerse! myself in nature again!

What would you do with $25,000?

Get another art studio, art supplies, paint big Cradled Birch natural atmospheres. They are like a Cathedral. I like the space between, color and the character of line. Painting large is like a ballet. My heart was broken when I lost my studio but it is mending. Scars give us personality.
