Oil painting, because I can really play with it. I love blending colors and building layers, there are no real limitations in what I can create. It feels freeing and intuitive, like I can just let things happen on the canvas.
Where do you find inspiration?I get inspired by watching other artists and how they approach their work. Going to museums in NYC also helps a lot, seeing art in person always hits differently. I also use Pinterest to explore ideas, colors, and compositions when I feel stuck or want to try something new.
What would you do with $25,000?Art has always been a passion for me, a safe place to slow down and enjoy some quiet in my head. I never really thought about turning it into something professional. I’d devote part of the prize to supporting people in Iran, and use the rest to start something small…a space where people can come together, paint, and disconnect from the everyday tension of life in NYC.
