I paint to release dream worlds that harbor intense emotions. I don't plan or sketch my painting. I start with a color pallet and paint.

I create abstract and mixed media work rooted in emotion rather than subject. My process is intuitive—built through layers of color, texture, and gesture. Recently, conceptual elements have begun to emerge in my practice, expanding how I think about meaning and material. I’m drawn to tension, atmosphere, and the quiet moments where something feels both familiar and slightly off.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in quiet, passing moments—the way light moves across a wall, or how a surface wears down and reveals its history. I’m drawn to things that feel lived-in and slightly off. A lot of it comes from emotion—especially the ones that are hard to name. Instead of illustrating them, I translate them into color and texture. Everyday spaces inspire me too. Kitchens, corners, ordinary scenes that, when you linger, feel almost surreal. And finally, I find inspiration in emotion.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to support both stability and growth in my practice—securing dedicated studio space, investing in a professional website and documentation, and covering essential living and art expenses so I can focus fully on painting. I would also reserve a portion for exhibition and submission opportunities to share the work more broadly. This would lift my career in a way I haven’t been able to do. Life changing.
