I create art that makes people proud of where they come from. My artwork is a vessel to tell the story of the community.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art are public murals. My greatest work is on the streets created with the people present. Seeing one’s own culture or neighborhood depicted with care and skill makes people feel "seen" and valued. It validates that their history and daily lives are worthy of being called "art.
Where do you find inspiration? My artwork serves as a vessel for the stories that define my community. I am inspired by the concept of generational beauty—the timeless strength passed down through lineages that often goes unrecognized. By utilizing bold imagery and striking compositions, I aim to create a visual archive that makes people proud of their origins and ensures our heritage remains a vibrant, living presence for the next generation.
What would you do with $25,000?These funds would be used to sustain studio space to develop a personal body of work. This is an opportunity that has not been available due to financial and time constraints. I also want to refocus on community curation and extend opportunities for other artists through mentorship and professional guidance.
