Studying oil painting was the first thing that kept my eyes, hands busy and satisfied. Like the joy of brushing horses.

Receive Text UpdatesAbstract realism to realism is my main focus of oil painting. Studying both contemporary and the old master's methods and techniques of oil painting. My favorite subjects would be horses, flowers, landscapes and still life's. The study of horse conformation has led me to human anatomy. This all started when a friend bought me some paints, brushes and I was hooked! Making something with my hands brought a lot of joy, satisfaction and it challenged my mind.
Where do you find inspiration? To me, oil painting has become my main way of expressing myself. The feeling of the oil brush on the canvas, the challenge of satisfying my eye through a composition. Observing my daily life is where I start to see simple things that bring inspiration. From the horses I have been able to work with, the flowers in my garden, heirlooms handed down. Waking up and realizing I have another day to look for beauty in the simplest observations.
What would you do with $25,000?I guess for starters I would put it in a special account reserved to purchase more art materials. I have really enjoyed the workshops that I already have attended. Additional workshops to enhance my painting techniques and expand my knowledge base. Maybe even a university course or two. I would think about doing more larger scale of works and buy more books.
