I love working with oil paint, pallet knives, old beauty historic wood, brass & stone. A canvas is great, but have you ever made a 10,000 lb stone wall in your garden with all the old brick and your limestone from your house renovation? Almost everything I creat I struggle selling
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the right place at the right time. The Gods have no reason for me to fail. Van Gough is definitely my childhood inspiration. He was just doing what he needed to at any given place or time. There are always clear indications of when the time to start is or when the painting is done. I’m inspired by those who choose their own path & don't look back for praise /understanding from anybody. If you do the thing that most aligns with you no matter the criticism, you’ll find peace.
What would you do with $25,000?Life is short & money is meant to be spent. First investment needs to be celebratory..2 steaks at the local butcher, to bring home and cook in the sun with my Girlfriend. After that a visit to Moscot for some new shades. By that time I’ll have about 24k left and I suppose it would be wise to put 20k of it away for my child’s future. That leaves 4000 for oil paint , cigars, adventure, I probably owe the tax man something & With the last 300 I’d say throw it all on black and let the gods decide
