My work is inspired by techniques used in batiking, centered around repetition of geometric forms and bright colors that evoke happiness.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is patterns. I love the use of repetition and doing things over and over brings me joy and also helps to calm my nervous system. I also enjoy manipulating the viewer's eye with lights and darks colors and crisp lines within the space.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration all around me. But what inspires me the most is my daughter, my grandkids and my family. When my physical body leaves this earth I will be proud to know that I am a leaver not a taker. Being a positive inspiration for my family motivates me to be an artist my family can be proud of as well as me being proud of myself.
What would you do with $25,000?Purchase 2 large easel. Stock up on new paint supplies. Purchase large wood panels for portraits and abstract art. I would also like to purchase a van for transporting and delivering art.
