I like to create films. I feel that films are a powerful way to inspire, influence, teach and provoke thought. Films are the current day medium that descended from ancient times when our ancestors used to gather around a campfire and a storyteller would carve or paint figures on the wall to tell stories of challenges, obstacles, trials of life, funny moments, heroism in the face of certain defeats, tragedies, and redemption. Film has a way to help reframe narratives and to celebrate life.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through everyday current events. I would go so far as to say that they often call to, speak to and find me. Stories are a way to teach others how to address their own problems and help them to formulate better choices and to take into consideration the challenges faced by other individuals experiencing hardships or that have suffered setbacks.
What would you do with $25,000?I have a screenplay that my late girlfriend Jo Anna and I were in the process of making into a film. She was to play one of the leads. It is a romantic fantasy love story and would have a broad appeal to audiences. It has now won 287 worldwide film festival awards. It is my mission to bring this into fruition to celebrate her work, contributions to the entertainment world and memorialize her memory and legacy. I intend to produce a conceptual trailer and pitch deck to help make the movie.
