Found object Kinetic Sculpture. I also like to mock serious art by painting terrible sloppy versions of famous works. I love plundering my stores to find motors, lights, gears, to make unusual gadgets.
Where do you find inspiration?Staring at spinning steam governors, player piano mechanisms as the bellows pump to play the roll and strick the strings. Ancient tower clock chain falls and bell drums as they mark the hours. I listen to bizarre music and think of how to manifest it it 3 dimensional form. The way I solve complex mechanisms challenges feeds my creativity even more.
What would you do with $25,000?Invest in a new shop building so all of my tools are in one spot, my supplies are easy to access and not scattered about. It'd be nice to mentor a young artist and share my skills with them.
