Art is how I realize who I am. Something I must do to cope with the world. My work focuses on what man creates and what nature does to it.

I create functional and semi functional ceramics with refined forms, which are then subjected to atmospheric firing with wood or soda ash. These processes give their own character to each piece, creating spontaneous textures and glaze effects that cannot be duplicated. I like to think that owning and using my art enhances people’s daily experience, making it a little better.
Where do you find inspiration? Many things influence and inspire me including the form and line of Art Nouveau, Art Deco, the Aesthetic Movement, and the other worldly Minoan and Mycenaean pottery. I love finding new shapes and uses for everyday objects.
What would you do with $25,000?Like most artists, my studio is stuck in my basement. I would use this money to upgrade the studio and equipment so that I could teach and work more efficiently.
