I create art to transform lived experience into visual stories that challenge perspective, provoke thought, and make the unseen felt.

My favorite type of art to create is the kind that challenges what people think is normal. I love to invite viewers to step outside their own assumptions and see life from unexpected perspectives. By revealing overlooked experiences or alternate ways of being, I aim to create art that opens new doors and broadens how we see the world.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the voices around me, especially in the everyday experiences of people whose perspectives are often overlooked. By listening closely to how others live, think, and navigate the world, I translate those stories into visual form. My own background, shaped by adaptation and awareness, allows me to connect with these narratives and transform them into meaningful work.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would begin building my own art school. As an immigrant, veteran and the only one among five siblings to earn a degree I understand the power of adaptation and the importance of having a voice. My goal is to teach young artists how to turn their thoughts into visual form so they can express their perspectives and create meaningful work.
