Art is not only the biggest part of my life, it’s the biggest part of me, it’s my mind, my heart, my spirit.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Oil paint is my medium. I love that I can mix on the canvas without worrying about drying time. I love color. For me, even black and white can dance. My work can be cleverly eclectic filled with light, bright and an array of my self taught techniques that move and groove upon the canvas. Designing my own flowers, trees, faces and breaking all the rules, that’s my favourite art to create.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the quiet moments. Its in the eyes of every being I encounter. Inspiration is my lightest days and my darkest hours. It’s in a busy ants schedule. Inspiration comes quickly for me in the stillness I find in meditation, be that with closed or open eyes. I feel that God sends down an idea and when I catch it, I paint it, expand on it, and then he gives it life. Life, the human body, a dandelion, the ocean, everything inspires me because I have learned to let it be so.
What would you do with $25,000?I have 300 paintings so let’s see, I would plan an art show and spend the rest on supplies; canvases, paint, brushes etc. so I can paint 300 more. I would take 1000$ and send 50$ Denominations to 20 people randomly chosen from the phone book as a pay it forward.
