I like to work conceptually when putting together an artwork and thinking about the process of making, just as much, if not a little bit more than, the end result. Part of what makes art so special to me is the human process of needing to express the human experience through various media and forms, so I try to put just as much energy and care into my process for making and choosing materials that relate to the concept I am making artwork about.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through almost everything. I think I'm inspired more frequently than I can make note of, but sometimes its in conversations with friends, seeing the way a shadow looks on a side walk, the colors of the sky at sunset, words from a book, lyrics or melodies of a song. Finding inspiration from so many outlets, as overwhelming as it can be, helps these inspirational forces to come together and create something that has so much life and energy in it.
What would you do with $25,000?I would like to pay of debts/student loans for university, afford studio space and materials, and have a safety net of savings to not be constantly stressed about financial disparities.
