I’m relatively new to viewing myself as a visual artist, so I’m enjoying experimenting with different styles & mediums I was once too self-conscious, perfectionistic, & intimidated to try. Currently, I primarily love taking landscape photos, especially of the sky either at night when the moon is visible or daytime when I look up & am moved by the it. Sometimes I slightly digitally alter the photo. I enjoy doing acrylic paintings & now incorporating either my poetry, photos, or other elements.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere, just like Divine Love. Sometimes I come out of meditation or prayer with a sudden urge to paint, draw, or write a poem & just a glimmer of an image or a line to start. I love the water & trees. Yes, I touch & hug trees. Due to chronic health issues, I’m now mostly home alone & in bed on weekdays, which has given me the last couple of years lots of time to sit with emotions, experiences, memories, & thoughts that I used to stuff & now alchemize into creative works.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use most of it towards a down payment for a property in the small town I live in with my husband & our 2 youngest kids, 16 & 11 (oldest is 24). The property will be our new dream homestead & place to launch various businesses, including hosting retreats, creating homemade products, & selling my and our 11 yr olds artworks. I would take some to do a long overdue international family trip once I’m able to fly again.
