Art creating helps me reconnect with and understand myself, and through that, to create a genuine connection with life.

My favorite art form is photography. The types I aim for include self-portrait, still life, abstract images, conceptual images, and fashion photography. I think Photography is the act of picking up fragments from life. A photograph cannot lie; through photography, who I really am, how I see life, and what is important to me will all be captured by the lens. That is why I choose photography to create.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from my own life. There is a contradiction between who I truly am inside and the roles I am given; between what I want to pursue and the people I care about. I can see the beauty in life, but I also feel trapped by natural forces beyond my control. All of this leaves me with many questions: Who am I? Why am I here? Should I keep going or let go? Photography is how I search for answers—it drives me to explore and to create.
What would you do with $25,000?I have been accepted into a university to pursue an MFA in Photography. My first semester will begin this fall. It would be wonderful if I could use the $25,000 to support my studies and research in photography and art.
