I have drawn since i was a child. It is my calm in chaos and i feel drawn to do it no matter the time, just to find peace.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My art style is Mithila, a traditional Bihari (Indian) Folk art. The art revolves around depiction of Hindu mythology. However, the focus of my art is mostly on Woman/Female figures in mythologies and nature. Mithila focus on two techniques - Kachni (line work) and Bharni (color filling). Most of kachni work is done using Dip pen and occasionally a 00 paintbrush. Bharni work is done completely with paintbrush. The artwork is mostly made on Handmade sheet, painted in cow dung, for preservation.
Where do you find inspiration? Most of my artwork roots from my fascination with Indian mythologies. Specifically stories involving a strong female figure. My passion is rooted and encouraged by my family, specifically my father, who ensured that all forms of art was involved in my upbringing. My father has also been a constant source of inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?While i have been making art for years, it is only in 2026 that have i started putting my art out for exhibitions and sales. With the the reward amount, i would love to continue on creating more artwork, to shine recognition on this artwork across countries. I would also love to start a small art class, to teach others this niche, but absolutely wonderful and vibrant, art style.
