Art is a language & I use lights to turn visual messages into imagery. I love being a Critic, Stylist, Director, Photographer, Artist.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I'm very drawn to creating series, often called polyptychs. This allows me to further tell a story using a system. It's all imagination from there. Where I can go, who I can be, the camera is thoroughly just a vessel for me to mirror a shared moment.
Where do you find inspiration? My art fits into a modern contemporary space, as commercial conceptualism in analysis. I like to peel back the layers, find moments more real than a sale, and create something new out of the ordinary. I'm drawn to man-made materials and textures. My favorite artists include Richard Avadon, Andy Warhol, and Edward Weston. I am big museum person, I like when I see good art and think to put myself in the artist's perspective on how they got there.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would create an artwork initiative and use the money to invest in producing one large conceptual artwork. I would spend it on gear, cast, crew, location, and filming the journey of the creation of a single $25,000 image (available for purchase)
