I create art because I can’t help it, it helps me to communicate things I don’t have words for and more deeply attune to the world around me

My favorite type of art to create is abstract and intricate black and white linear art usually based around biomorphic figures and faces. I get lost for hours working on my complex patterns, I love to hide images within them.
Where do you find inspiration?I find a great deal of inspiration in the art of tribal societies such as those of Oceania, Africa, native America and ancient Europe. I frequently visit museums to study tribal art as well as collect it myself. I also find a great deal of inspiration in aquatic flora and fauna especially that of the deep sea.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would first go on my dream trip to Central Asia. I would visit the ancient silk road cities of Uzbekistan, the monumental mountains of Kyrgyzstan, the Great Plains of Kazakstan with wild horses grazing and more. I would also use the money to purchase art equipment such as printmaking and ceramic tools and equipment so that I can explore mediums that I haven’t worked with much up to this point.
