I believe creating for not only myself. I hope to create a window, a portal the viewer can peer within and hear their soul’s echo.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Oil paint was my first love and continues to be. I enjoy painting metaphorical figurative work, to better express the mind and emotional highway we each must navigate. Whether in the presence or absence of a subject, focal point, or setting — the color is always the key. I also enjoy incorporating light and light sources to direct a story in a particular direction.
Where do you find inspiration? My single greatest source of inspiration is my soul. I seek it out most of all in written text, and also in nature, in little details, in simplicity. Inspiration comes from the well within, and seeking out the familiar steps of a path not yet traveled. All the while listening to the voice within and ignoring the noise of the external.
What would you do with $25,000?I would purchase a studio space, one that is large enough to hold art classes for children and adults. I want others to experience the joy and freedom of creating art; to carry on the legacy of my teachers who encouraged the girl who grew into the artist I am today.
