I love working with a few different mediums like sticks for rustic woodworking, acrylic paint on canvas along with spray paint. But I also view art in a more global way, like I love gardening and landscaping...which I consider art. I also like refinishing and restoring furniture. These are ways that allow me to tap into the creative current.
Where do you find inspiration?I often rely on spontaneous inspiration. I am always looking at life through the possibility of being able to recreate it in some form. If in that moment I'm struck with a desire to create, than I will create. It can come from anything, nature, spirituality, family, history....anything that strikes me as meaningful coupled with the desire and motivation to do so is my inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?I would convert a large portion of my garage into an apartment for my son. He will be 18 graduating from high school next year, and I know he will struggle to be able to find housing on his own in a new career. He is going to school for conservation. I want to give him a space that he can afford that is safe and allows him to be independent. I don't want him getting frustrated and burnt out on life at such a young age. I'd love to be able to help him in this way.
