Where do you find inspiration?The streets of New York raised me. I find inspiration in the people history tries to ignore the overlooked, the underestimated, the community that keeps showing up despite everything. My mentors Jamel Shabazz and Luis Mendes taught me that the most important images are the ones nobody else thought to take.
What would you do with $25,000?Fund a community documentary project that puts cameras and training in the hands of young creatives in Brooklyn who have stories worth telling but no resources to tell them. The equipment, the space, the platform everything I had to fight to build, I’m handing to the next generation faster.
