I love to create art mostly through painting, photography, and poetry. Simply put, I try to create art to express my thoughts based on my life's experiences.
Where do you find inspiration?Since Hawaii is my home, l find inspiration from its unique natural beauty and ethnic diversity. l also get inspired by reading art related books, visiting galleries, and attending live classes and presentations. Finally, l draw inspiration from studying different cultures and beliefs, listening to soothing music, and drinking endless cups of freshly brewed Kona coffee!
What would you do with $25,000?Aloha! As an artist partially disabled by a stroke, I would use the prize money to open my own studio to promote art and encourage others, especially with disabilities, who are interested in making art a vital part of their lives. I believe art is something that should always be shared with everyone. After all, we artists are part of the same Ohana (family), aren't we? Being from Hawaii, l shall include and promote the ALOHA spirit in all my creations.
