The challenge of creating things in the everyday world, and as realistic as I possibly can, is what I love to do.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy creating three-dimensional chainsaw carvings that incorporate the unique characteristics of the wood and many times enhanced by the natural beauty of the wood grain itself. It is deeply fulfilling to breathe new life into a formerly living tree through sculpture, thereby creating a lasting work of art that can be cherished for generations.
Where do you find inspiration?I mostly find my inspiration in the magnificent beauty of nature that has been wonderfully created by our amazing Creator. I spend many hours studying wildlife in its own natural habitat.
What would you do with $25,000?First off, a generous portion would go to charity, specifically St Judes research hospital for Children, which I have been supporting for more than 30 years. Secondly, I would purchase all kinds of new carving tools!
