Art impacts us more than words by engaging our senses and emotions. It’s a powerful, silent language that can tell a story in one image.

I love capturing movement through photography and silent video. Inspired by early cinema, like the expressive works of Charlie Chaplin. I believe movement alone can convey profound emotion. While sound can guide a feeling, I prefer silence to give the audience space for their own interpretation. Whether it’s a sunrise, a drive, or friends laughing, my goal is to capture the raw energy of a moment and let the viewer feel it without influence.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from the connection between human narrative and the natural world. I am inspired by the raw honesty in the stories people share with me and the strength they show in overcoming life's challenges. I see this same endurance in nature in the patterns of the earth and the persistence of wildlife. I love the organized chaos found in both. Ultimately, I am driven by the quiet, powerful resilience that allows both people and the planet to endure.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the funds to produce a docuseries based on my book, Colors in Our Lives. It explores the analogy of people as colors; how every connection from a stranger on the subway to a lifelong friend shades and changes the essence of who we are. Through cinematic interviews and visual storytelling, I want to capture these "color mixes" and the resilience of the human spirit. This prize would allow me to bring these personal narratives to life in a simple, moving way.
