I love to write and make mixed media canvases. I feel like the mixed media helps me get out and process a lot of emotions I have and writing has always been my backbone for dealing with past traumas like addiction and betrayal. To me, mixed media is assembled chaos and I use many different elements for my work. I love adding multiple layers and secret messages underneath whatever quote I choose. My writing reflects a lot of my inner demons and helps me quite the chaos in my head
Where do you find inspiration?From within and most of the music I listen to is a big inspiration. This past winter I finally got to go out west for the first time to Tuscon AZand the color of the sky at sunset and sunrise was the most spectacular thing I’d ever seen besides the Aroras and the desert really fueled my creativity!
What would you do with $25,000?I would pack my family and move to Arizona immediately!!! We are in the process of trying to save for it now. We live in a little hick town in Northeast TN and I’ve always felt like I’m stunted emotionally and creatively by being here! The Bible Belt in which I live makes it hard to get my art out there so I feel like the west would be where I finally found my peace!!! I would get us a cute little house in the San Xavier area and put back a little to save to start my own shop one day!!!!!
