Carl Jung said that art is a driving force that enslaves the artist. For me creating is not a choice. It’s a consuming compulsion.

My favorite type of art to create is the instant gratification type. When That uninterrupted stream of consciousness pours out of me in what feels like seconds and I can actually pronounce a project complete in the same day or even week, I feel satisfied. I am sure I’m not the only artist who has hundreds or thousands of hours of work that we have just absolutely destroyed or completely dismantled because it just wasn’t coming together in perfect emulation of our vision, muse, or inspiration.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere, but specifically, most often I find inspiration and things that most people would consider displeasing, ugly, foolish, or useless.. At least as far as tangible inspiration. But I do believe that I am just a vessel through which the collective creative consciousness flows most of my favorite pieces. I scarcely remember the cognition of creating because they were more trance like events.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would fulfill my personal dream of packing up myself and my beloved husky, Elvis and moving to Baja where I will do absolutely nothing besides create magic and art until the dollars runout. (after a generous donation to cerebral palsy research in the name of my grandson, Willie, who is a tiny warrior)
