Beadwork and painting are my two favorite ways to create. They both allow me, in different ways, to combine the modern and the traditional, and make statements about the world we're living in and the one we wish to create.
Where do you find inspiration?My family is Mediterranean, Indigenous, and European. It is from all these wonderful cultural identities, and from my love of nature, that I draw my inspiration for my art.
What would you do with $25,000?A gift like that would be life-changing for me and my children. I've recently been notified that I will be laid off from my work in Education at the end of June. Beyond paying bills and everyday expenses, it would provide us the opportunity to travel to see family, to purchase supplies that set us up for future success, and give us some security in this time of uncertainty.
