Art is my happy place- where whimsy runs free, reality gets lighter and every piece carries a dash of healing joy.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I delight in exploring many forms of art, from painting and hand-crafted books to crochet, but my heart belongs to wire and beadwork. In this medium, I lose myself in color, light, and reflection- shaping glass beads into playful spiders, scorpions, and praying mantis, dreamy cat sprites, and sun-catchers that dance with sunlight.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in nature. From the greens of forests to the endless blues of ocean and sky, and in every unique creature that inhabits them. I’m especially inspired by those labeled ‘creepy and crawly,’ and through my art I aim to shift perspective, reimagining misunderstood spiders, scorpions, and other creatures as whimsical, colorful, and beautifully enchanting.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would gain the space to create with more ease and intention. It would help me grow my online presence, reach more people, and spend more time with making the wire and beadwork I love. This support would also allow me to travel to fairs and festivals, sharing moments of joy, beauty and new perspectives through my art.
