I love to create art because it reflects my emotions helps me articulate myself more than words ever could

My favorite type of art is surrealist photography! I want people to relate to my art through pure instinctual emotion due to how surreal the photos are. I feel that art can speak louder than words and I want people to feel that they are not alone. I hide the face in my photos to remove an identity from the picture and try to make it solely focused on the emotion I am trying to portray. It also has been a great outlet for my emotions because it is nonsensical and illogical just as emotions are!
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from my personal struggles with mental health and the world around me. My process starts with me grappling with something in my life and I find the need to personify it through surrealism. It is usually an emotional scenario that triggers the inspiration. After finding what I want to portray, I walk out into the city and find objects that resonate my feelings but also just make sense to the emotion and I juxtapose it with my subject.
What would you do with $25,000?I have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by creatives my whole life. I would love to help fund the artists projects around me and lift them up just as they have lifted me. I know so many different types of artists who are ambitious but are lacking the funding because of college or their financial situation and I’d love to help them out.
