I create art to quiet the constant moving and thinking of my mind. To allow my true inner self to speak and be free.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is abstract emotion-led mix media paintings. The kind where there are no rules, no perfection, just movement, color, and feeling. I love creating pieces that feel a little chaotic but still somehow come together like capturing a mood you can’t quite put into words of your own.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere to be honest. From late night drives, good music, an emotionally draining day, messy thoughts when the mind is to loud, nature and being outside (especially by water), conversations over cocktails, and just by watching & observing the world around me. A lot of my inspiration comes from real life - the highs, the lows, and everything in between - plus mixed in with a little bit of sparkle & chaos!
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest it back into my art and would love to use it to be able to open a space for myself to do art but a space that could also be open to the community around it for teaching art to all ages (younger and older people), have school trips come to do art classes outside of school, birthday parties, and having art therapy sessions (+ etc.). I would want to build a space where people could feel free to feel their feelings & have an outlet to express themselves.
