Each canvas is an emotional truth, an intimate dialogue between myself and the viewer. It’s an extension of my inner world. Connection.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is nature inspired abstract art. I work in an architectural fashion, creating distressed canvas which leads to multiple textures in the canvas. I paint also abstract ocean pieces, abstract figures, shapes and landscapes.
Where do you find inspiration?I am a painter of emotion, capturing moments that touch the soul. A simple day walking on a beach may inspire me, or simply seeing the texture of the leaves against the sky. Mostly, it has been the peaks and valleys in my life that have given me the most inspiration. Some of it very sad and some of it very happy, it all leads me to my canvas.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to win $25,000 I would be using this for items I need to work, and to find a studio again to work from, as I lost mine in the pandemic, and I paint now from my loft, but I need more space for larger endeavors. And I would "have" to donate just a bit also as I believe if you get lucky in life you need to pay it forward.
