To me, picking a favorite art is like picking a favorite child- I simply cannot. Or perhaps different types of art are like different seasons, and in different seasons I have a different favorite. Currently, I am very focused on music, with other types of art in my orbit. My last seasonal favorite was painting, as shown in my submission. As far as visual art is concerned, I am drawn to create intuitive expressionist portraits, influenced by the divine feminine.
Where do you find inspiration?My father. Trees. Eyes. Hearts. Inspiration is everywhere. I do not find it— it finds me— if I have the eyes to see, heart to feel and the mind to perceive it.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would treat it as a season of freedom and creative expansion. A portion would go toward grounding—covering living expenses so I can move out of my parents’ house and create without urgency or distraction. I’ve learned that stability and independence allow me to enter a deeper, more honest relationship with my work. Another portion would go directly into my art practice: materials, studio space, and the development of my painting and broader creative work. Ideally, I would a
