I am compelled to create art. It’s part of my DNA. I’m self-taught and the experience of creating work fuels my soul.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Acrylic paint, ink, vibrant, contrasting colors with lots of texture and metallics. I haven’t found any work like mine so I can’t identify a specific “type”. I’ve been referring to it as “popart” but my work is all fine art by my hand/ no AI/ no graphic art.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m inspired by a wide variety of subjects that include She-Devils, rockabilly girls, vintage pin-up, skulls, animals, insects, ufos, musicians, flying eyeballs, old skool skate scene, tattoos, old punk scene +
What would you do with $25,000?I would buy new brushes and better paint. I would be able expand my studio space. To be honest, I’m most interested in exposure than money because my art doesn’t fit anywhere and I can’t find a venue. I started painting in 2000 and have explored a variety of options over the years but feel so very stuck. Creating art is all I want to do. I’ve had to push my angst down deep over the years. My ambition is to get my work out in the world.People seem to dig it & that’s what continues to inspire me!
