I create art because I need to create art. It keeps me healthy and in tune to my deeper intuitive self and the world around me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Intuitive watercolour is my passion. It's where I am my most genuine self. I feel like I'm tapping into something that's bigger than me; something that connects me to everything. It feels like magic . Something flows from within with such ease and confidence. I love how spontaneous and whimsical watercolour can be. I also dabble with acrylics and inks.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everything mostly nature. Since I've started painting, it's changed the way I see everything. The sky, the forest, light and shadows.., I'm also inspired by the intuitive part of myself. Painting has really brought this out in me where I can tap into it and it allows me to create freely. It grows stronger every day and is an integral part of my day-to-day life not just when I'm creating art.
What would you do with $25,000?Right now I'm using our dining room room as my studio. So my family has to eat in the living room on the sofa. They've been very supportive as I have intractable vestibular migraine. I would love to be able to get a small studio close to home that could be my space to do my artwork .This way I wouldn't be around chemicals 24 hours a day which do affect me. It would keep me safe and would give my family back the space they need. Having a studio would be a dream come true!
