I process art visually and emotionally, translating what I see into visual narratives that offer calm and peace in a chaotic world

I love creating textile-inspired landscapes, reimagining nature as woven and knitted scenes through the use of acrylic paint. Creating compositions that feel warm, layered, and comforting. Through repeated marks, stitch-like details, and flowing forms, I transform trees and natural elements into something tactile and familiar. My goal is to create a sense of calm and belonging, offering viewers a quiet, reflective moment within each piece.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration on my walks along nature trails, where I photograph trees, foliage, flowers, and landscape scenes. I often revisit these images months or even years later, seeing them with fresh eyes and new ideas. I’m especially drawn to the forms of trees and leaves and how the sunlight hits them, which continually influences how I interpret and reimagine the natural world in my work.
What would you do with $25,000?First, I would invest in myself through workshops, mentorships, and possibly a short residency to grow both creatively and professionally. Secondly, I would invest in my art career through professional photography of my work and an upgraded booth display to better present my work. Finally, I would continue creating pieces that support charitable causes, expanding my efforts to give back through my art in a more meaningful and consistent way.
