My Ancestors awaken within me when I bead my creations.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I do traditional bead work of the Anishinaabe people.
Where do you find inspiration? My beadwork captures my ancestors spirit or ancient teachings and inspires me to be the best person I can be walking in this world for those who walked before me and who will walk after I leave mother Earth.
What would you do with $25,000?As with any extra money that I have, I put it to work in the best way that I can often investing in additional beading supplies, Lodge offerings and travel expenses to and from. I also love to share and gift things to people who are less fortunate than myself, including a nice ribbon skirt or a set of moccasins. I feel that this money will be good and put to the best use for my family, my friends and my people.
