I painted universal themes, but now I feel inspired by the Caribbean and it's ancestral culture. Acrylic painting is my primary medium, though I sometimes use oil paints.
Where do you find inspiration?I have gone through a difficult period- one I share to inspire you - during which I lacked a studio for my work; yet, despite this, I was able to find inspiration in painting portraits of friends and family members who asked me to paint them. Portraiture has left a profound mark on me over the last ten years.
What would you do with $25,000?With The money, I am going to rent a studio so that I can continue working and teach the arts to young people; this will help me reconnect with My vocation for teaching - just as I did some time ago in Dominican Republic, and also in USA.
