I left responsibility behind and tucked myself into 167 acres of boreal forest to be a catalyst for my art and to teach others as well.

I am a multi-disciplinary artist so do not like to box in my possibilities to one favourite type. I am willing to explore all mediums on all surfaces so that I can adopt different styles, textures, and mediums into my work. When I was a young artist, my favourite surface (and interior) to paint was suitcases, which morphed into other found objects such as coffee grinders and old jeans. I decided from there that truly, anything is possible. All that to say, I am pretty keen on using acrylics most
Where do you find inspiration?I live in the boreal forest of northwest Ontario. The terrain is varied and magical in all seasons. But what is more magical is the fun weirdos that live in places like this! We congregate and create. That is inspiring!
What would you do with $25,000?This money would go towards paying off the art studio and artist’s retreat we created here. It is a space where people of all ages and abilities can come and tap into their (sometimes dormant) creative side.
