I love collage, but I also love jewelry making and making resin sun-catcher structures that I can bead and thread with tassels and charms and tchotchkes to create a unique form! I will always enjoy my roots of drawing with pencil and marker and painting with watercolor and acrylics but I love to play with other mediums, photography, sewing. I studied fashion design and I make clothes now mostly for my kids. I see art as an my essence, I have a creative cake bake shop also. I could never choose!
Where do you find inspiration?Nature! Laughter! Sunlight glistening on the waves, rainbow splashes of surf rebounding off glistening rocks that line the shores of my hometown. I try to catch the sunrise and the sunset everyday. I am moved by natures radiance and rhythm, the show she puts on for those who delight in paying attention. I am always feeling more refreshed and inspired after spending time outside. I also am constantly encouraged by my children’s playfulness and jubilance. They remind me to take risks and explore
What would you do with $25,000?I need a new car for the soccer mom side of me! I make my art, and I make ends meet, I would use the prize money in practical ways to better myself and my 2 little kids. I am a single mother. I side hustle with my cake baking (@flour.power.nofo.xo) and painting c windows and menus for local businesses, I waitress in the summers and try to show my work in as many galleries as possible. I would take a big deep breath with 25k in my hands and take my kids out for ice cream to celebrate
