Art gives me the freedom to take risks and to push boundaries without limitations. Speaking in a silent tongue with emotion beyond language

I’m most drawn to creating urban abstract work that reflects the city I live in. Los Angeles, especially, is full of energy, history, and layered stories. From LA sports legends to street culture, I pull from all of that. A lot of my pieces are inspired by real moments and people I’ve connected with, or even graffiti I’ve seen that I reinterpret through use of color, texture, and movement. My goal is to take something recognizable and turn it into something that feels emotionaland lasting.
Where do you find inspiration?A lot of my inspiration comes from how I interpret the world rather than what I’m directly looking at. Artists like Duchamp influenced my perspective by taking something ordinary and reframing it into something meaningful. That idea has always resonated with me. I approach my work the same way, It’s about turning the familiar into something unexpected, and expressing what can’t always be explained in a direct way.
What would you do with $25,000?With the $25,000, I would reinvest directly into my growth as an artist; upgrading materials, working on larger-scale pieces, and creating work that pushes my limits. At the same time, I’d put a portion toward something meaningful like a future home, as a reminder that my art is not just passion, but something that’s helping me build a real foundation.
