I create to heal and reflect culture, truth, and identity. Art that is for the people and by the people, bridges generations. It’s Therapy.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love creating art that tells stories rooted in culture, legacy, and truth. My work blends urban expression with African influence, using bold color, symbolism, and movement to reflect the beauty, struggle, and resilience of my people. Whether it’s murals, portraits, or abstract pieces, I create art that connects generations, empowers communities, and turns lived experiences into something powerful and visible.
Where do you find inspiration?I love art because it mirrors life. Every piece is a process of growth, accepting mistakes, staying focused, and trusting the vision. Through art, I create worlds filled with real stories and perspectives shaped by my experiences. It’s been therapy for me and a tool for change. My work is rooted in community, using art to heal, empower, and give people a space to express themselves freely.
What would you do with $25,000?My nonprofit is built on cultural heritage, developing leaders, and creating sustainable change across generations. With $25,000, I would expand this work by building spaces where artists can share their stories and use art to navigate life. I would reach more youth in at risk communities, using art to develop identity, leadership, and purpose while creating a lasting impact that continues beyond one generation.
