Evoke emotion in the viewer, drawing them into the world I create and sharing my passion for the subject through energetic color and form.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
In my mixed media art, I aim to connect with viewers emotionally and intellectually, inviting reflections on their own experiences. I enjoy the interplay of tissue paper with acrylics, relishing the vibrancy and textural depth it creates. By deconstructing my photographic references to black-and-white forms, I can emphasize my subjects’ essence before reintroducing bold colors that evoke spiritual freedom.
Where do you find inspiration?Rooted deeply in storytelling, my artistic journey is shaped by design. I embrace the evolution of my practice, continually exploring innovative techniques that surprise both me and my audience. While my methods may shift, my cultural heritage and personal narrative serve as anchors, providing a reservoir of inspiration that informs my work.
What would you do with $25,000?My hope if I win the grand prize is to fund several future art projects I have plan, pay-off some bills and see more of the world.
