What is your favorite type of art to create?

I was a double major with an emphasis in Painting and Intaglio Printmaking, graduating in 1989.  I've also become a digital photography enthusiast of wildlife, landscapes, portraits and astrophotography since 2014.  I spend an equal amount of time developing each of the mediums I've mentioned which has made my choices for what to include here a very challenging decision for me.  I've chosen to place most of my emphasis on paintings and intaglio prints that focus on the human figure and portraits

Where do you find inspiration?

My goal is to make people feel deeply when they see my work. I draw my inspiration from everyday life experience that surround me.  I'll document the experiences with my camera and work from those photographic images.  Emotions and isolated solitary figures have made a great impact on my work.  I believe in embracing those moments and figures and allowing them to become the basis of my creative process. Each artwork is deeply personal to me and serves as a moment recorded in time.

What would you do with $25,000?

Invest it in photographic equipment and environmentally friendly inks & processes for printmaking.
