Modern Realism. Defined as representational but expressive . I try to paint what I see but look for something about the subject that reflects its character and mystique. I am mostly a people painter. I enjoy painting mood and feeling. My technique is painterly and loose. When done I want my work to look like a painting not a photograph
Where do you find inspiration?Life! People! Humanity. There is so much to say about both. It is a never ending subject. Everyone is unique and special and has so much to say. We are, each of us, special. And I want to capture that uniqueness.
What would you do with $25,000?I have 7000 work in my studio presently. This is not bragging. But my biggest cost are frames. Most galleries require frames. So, without them, it limits what I can show at any one time. I also teach oil painting, drawing and Pastel twice a week. The space I had was lost due to increased rent. Now I teach at my studio that can only hold comfortable three students. So a dedicated space would bring back the students I lost.
