Creating art is a form of meditation for me. The process is peaceful and engaging and my hope is that the viewer experiences that also.

I work almost exclusively in coloured pencil. I'm particularly drawn to Wildlife subjects as I've had a lifelong fascination with animals and nature. Having said that, I also enjoy still life and floral work. Creating pieces that engage the viewer with a single subject or a single scene are important as it gives myself, as the artist, and the viewer an opportunity to appreciate a quiet moment in time.
Where do you find inspiration?Although it might sound cliché, I find inspiration all around me. I'm a big fan of sketching random things and, quite often, within that I find the inspiration for a piece. It's that belief that potential subject matter is everywhere and one should never leave no stone unturned.
What would you do with $25,000?I would, of course, buy more art supplies... what artist wouldn't? With the remainder I would invest it into the goal that I have to partner with a conservation organization/ charity to develop a plan that would see a portion of my art sales on certain pieces go directly back to funding their research and initiatives.
