Every painting begins in a thousand pieces. Some pieces are emotions, some are internet memes, some are songs I can’t get out of my head. My favorite part of making art is figuring out how to fit them together into an image.
Where do you find inspiration?Bad dates, yoga classes, stock photos, table manners, apartments.com, the electromagnetic spectrum, wax figures, strange roommates.
What would you do with $25,000?I work two jobs to pay for a studio and place to live in NYC. This leaves very little time for me to paint my pictures. $25,000 would change my life because it would buy me more days in the week to finish a big series I am working on.
