I transform forgotten surfaces like vinyl and glass into vibrant art to reveal hidden energy and spark healing through creative connection.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is abstract mixed-media, specifically focusing on alcohol ink on non-porous surfaces (like glass) and etching designs into reclaimed vinyl records using a Dremel. Also frequently incorporate acrylic paints and acrylic paint pens into these projects to add layers and detail, essentially giving new life and "vibrant energy" to everyday or forgotten objects.
Where do you find inspiration?find inspiration in music mostly Whitney Houston Janet Jackson Reba McEntire Gloria Estefan Celine Dion are my usual goal to use. just like music tells stories I like to try to tell stories with my artwork even though most of my artwork is abstract I try to still pull together some kind of a story out of it.
What would you do with $25,000?honestly I would rent out a loft and artist loft and move my art studio from my apartment to this loft and I would continue to work there. I would also refresh all of my art supplies and I would buy a whole new set of alcohol inks times two I'd buy brand new paintbrushes brand new canvases brand new paints brand new Dremel bit pieces I would really give my whole my art studio upgrade major upgrade.
